Hi guys,
does anyone knows the importance of the file "Setting.ini" automatically created throught the download of qlik sense desktop version?
in particular, i woud like to know if anyone knows what happen if it is changed.
Thanks you
Settings.ini contains settings that control product behavior. You typically modify it only in response to specific instructions, like adding a SSE Plugin to desktop.
If you change it, valid settings should have the intended effect on the product. Unrecognized settings will probably be ignored. Syntax errors may cause the product to not start.
In my experience, if you delete settings.ini it will be recreated with defaults on next startup.

ok thank U so much.
In my case, in particular, when i was trying to modify my application (objects in presentation actually) i had a message " Internal Error" and then the application stopped. I added a string in the Setting.ini file which was "AppRecoveryMode=1".
It created two apps: one with the extention " .corrupted " which I deleted and another one regenerated .
A few days later, when we moved the desktop application to the server (for publishing it) it stops working, we were not able to publish it anymore.
I was thinking that a possible cause for the application damage could be the fact that I have modified this setting file...
