Does command Binary load metadata?

Hello,

I need some help in binary loading qvw-file (v 10).

So, I have qvw file with data, but without layout (data-model). The file includes metadata (meta-tags and comments). But when I run script with BINARY in other document, metadata are disappear.

Is it feature or error? Is somebody now?

Thank you.

Yeah, I've just tested it and it doesn't work for me either.

You can talk to support about it but I doubt they will consider it a bug, more like a feature request.

Hello, Daniel.

May you help me to send the bug (or feature ) to support? My english is so bad..

Thank you very much.

Hi,

As far as I understand, a binary load only loads records, meaning field names and field values, so that is working as designed. Anyway, feel free to contact the QlikTech support team in your own language, check the addresses in

Hope that helps.

BINARY does load some metadata: number formatting and default sorting comes through.  Groups, unfortunately, do not.
