Publishing Qlik Sense App does not include Pixel Perfect Report Templates

Is there a setting that I have to enable to allow users to do on-demand Pixel Perfect report generation?  I have developed a report that I can generate on-demand in the app in my personal space, but when I publish the app to the public space, I no longer see the report template in the Reports section, nor do I see Reports as a selectable option in the Assets left hand panel.

Are on-demand reports not supposed to be part of publicly published apps?

Here is what I see in in the Assets panel in the app in my personal space:

Here is what I see in the Assets panel in the app in the public space:

A reply to my original message with what I've discovered:

  • It would appear that, no, report templates are not automatically transferred when an app is published.
  • The solution is that you would download the report template, publish the app, then upload the template to the published app.
  • When I did this, I got an error that said, 'Failed to upload the template file.  The template references objects that are unavailable in the Qlik Sense app.'
  • The reason for this is because the report template used references from a Sheet that was not public; when the app is published, these sheets do not get published.
  • The solution was to move the sheet with the references contained in the report into the Public space, republish the app, then upload the template.
