Collecting Data from Epic Chronicles for WQ Monitoring?

Has anyone successfully set up a way to get Epic Chronicles data into Qlikview? We are looking to set up some close to real time work queue monitoring applications and would like to get data from Chronicles. I've seen mention of using a KB_SQL/OBDC set up but I'd like to discuss in more detail.

These are generally available for both QlikView and Qlik Sense.
