Connection to CDS views (Core Data Services) of SAP

Does anybody know if it is possible to connect Qlik Sense to SAP CDS Views via a driver ODBC or if the SAP connector is mandatory

for this you would have to use Qlik OData Connector. For Qlik Sense It's  a part of web connector's package , in SaaS it's built -in
