Documentation for Web Connector and Salesforce Connector Security

Hi there,

Is there any documentation details Web and Salesforce connectors security?  I aware there are help pages for the connectors but we would like more details whether it is safe to use the connectors to extract the data from the cloud.  We have a on-premise QlikView Server and would like to consume data from the Salesforce APIs in the cloud.
