Hi
Is it possible to change the Task session timeout default value 1440?
1440 minutes (=24 hrs) which is the default default value is not a very useful timeout for us.
Is there a config file somewhere, where you can change this?
Hello all,
I am checking if the default could be changed, in the meanwhile other options would be setting it with the API
Open API specification for Repository Main API − post /reloadtask/create - Qlik | Help
or change the value directly on the DB, ReloadTasks table of the QRS.
Cheers,
Albert
Hello @Kriss ,
If you would like that functionality to be the product, the an Idea would need to be created for our Product Managers to review. Kindly review:

from what i could find no, but i think this is a huge flaw.
if you have a report which runs away on memory, it effectively brings down the server as each subsequent task keeps trying for 24hours.
I understand why its probably defaults to 24 to ensure loads are not terminated early when first added, but i think this should be a defined system variable in the QMC, majority of mine are now set to 10mins.
Anyone found a way to configure this yet?

Hi all
Possibility to change the Task session timeout default value would be useful. 24h is long period...
I prefer do not to modify QSR DB directly. It's risky.
Any news in that topic?

Isn't that what has been done already?
But a colleague of yours misinterpreted the text and marked the idea as delivered.
We still cannot change the default-setting so something else than 1440 is filled in from the beginning.

Andy
I see, seems the request was not capture properly.
That you would like to have a global setting that allows you to edit the default Task Timeout for all new created tasks. I would suggest you add a comment there, so it adds more context.

That idea is closed for commenting so I added another one.
