How to configure Load balancing between Central and a RIM node for a Specific Schedule Task in Qlik Sense?

Hi All,

I have created a RIM Node  specifically to load balance the resources between the central and rim node. The central is taking up too much resources because of schedule task. I have also configure the new rim node  as the below.

Now I am trying to test the load balancing for schedule task and see whether it works.

Is there a specific way to create a rules and assigned the task to a RIM Node?

Thanks

Hello @AdrianOh ,

If you only want the tasks to be executed on RIM nodes kindly set the central node as Manager and the RIMs as workers. You can also remove the engine of the central node from the virtual proxies so no apps are opened on the same.

Cheers,

Albert

I am not trying to move the entire task to the rim node. I am trying to load balance the scheduled task between the central and rim nodes.

Hi,

Yes, we created a new rim node specifically for schedule task.  We want to load balance the schedule between the central and rim.

I have also configured the master and slave for both central and rim

How does the algorithm works? Is there a way/rule/ security settings  to load balance the schedule task?

Thanks
