How to map the permissions of a user for all the apps?

Hi,
Let's say I want to map the permissions of a specific user for all the apps in the "Qlik Sense" environment. Is there an easy and efficient way to do that?

Comments

  • I know that I can access the Management Console (QMC), go to the "Security Rules" area there, and then browse the stream and app access rules in order to find out what a specific user can aces. That's the issue, that I don't know want to have to manually review each rule and in it manually search for the specific user.
  • By "permissions of a user for an app", I refer to the permissions (in a security rule) that define if a user can read or update or delete an app.

It would be great if you could share from your knowledge and experience. Thanks a lot, even just for reading this message 🙂

You could create a single security rules tjat gives certain users access to all streams (apps). Then you just have to check one security rule.

Here is an example from the qlik help: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-admin/May2024/Subsystems/DeployAdministerQSE/Content/Sense_DeployA...

Hi Vegar,

1. Thanks for the reply.

2. The thing is that I don't want these users to have an access all the streams or apps. I want them to be able to access only specific streams or apps.
