Hi,
We have to install Qlik Sense in a cluster with one Central Node and 2 Rim nodes. We have to keep all the data (qvd) and application (qvf) files, and the Postgres DB on a separate file server which will be accessible (mounted) on the Central and Rim nodes. Currently the file server is not yet available. Can we go ahead and install Qlik Sense for now on the Central and RIM nodes and once the file server is available move the qvd, qvf and Postgre DB to the file server?
What steps should we follow to install now and then for the move to the fileserver?
The central node will be the scheduler node and the rim nodes will be the proxy nodes.
Hello,
Yes this is possible but will require some steps to be implemented.
Idea is that you will start by installing Qlik Sense on the central node with Postgres and the shared folder on that same server. You will then be able to install and add the rim nodes.
Instructions: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense-admin/May2021/Subsystems/DeployAdministerQSE/Content/Sense_DeployA...
Once the dedicated server to host Postgres and the shared folder is available, you will need to migrate both Postgres and the shared folder following:
Hope this helps!

Hi,

Hi,
Right, looks like this article was archived. This one should work https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/How-to-move-Qlik-Sense-database-to-standalone-PostgresS...
Thanks Bastien. We have been able to install Qlik in a cluster environment.
