The license key is not valid

The case happened when we tried to activate Qlik Sense Server when we reinstalled it in Windows 2019.

After input the key we got an error message: “The license key is not valid”

Also, The maintenance of my current perpetual license has lapsed.

Hi,

Please check you License key using this URL: https://lef1.qliktech.com/manuallef/default.aspx

The above URL will help you validate the license & if it is activated or not OR license is expired or about to expire

If you do have the issue, I recommend to connect to Qlik Support or Qlik Sales they can fix your issue.

Hey there,

In addition to what has already been said, if the perpetual license is out of support/maintenance, you can still install the latest release of Qlik Sense that was released before the end of the support of your license.
i.e. if your license's support ended in december 2022, you can install up to Qlik Sense November 2022 (latest patch)

That is correct!

The error in the screenshot comes when the maintenance of the current perpetual license has lapsed. You need to renew the License. Please contact your Account Team.

My license belong to perpetual license.  Is it that I have to reinstate my lapsed maintenance in order to reactivate my Qlik Sense Server?

Is there any other options for me besides reinstating our maintenance & support?

I have tried the first 2 solutions provided but receive this error message instead:

• Yes, you just proceed with renewal, and this is the only option. However, as @rzenere_avvale said, if your license's support ended in December 2022, you can install up to Qlik Sense November 2022 (the latest patch) and activate it. You cannot apply your Key for Qlik Sense Feb 2023.

"This license must be set with a signed license key and not a LEF"

The above error says that you cannot activate with the LEF key. Your Perpetual Key is an LEF key that has expired and all of our supported Qlik Sense versions (with internet) expect an SLK activation.

Your License must be reinstated.

If you can contact your Account Team, you will get more information on this.
