We directly upgrade QlikSense from November 2021 to February 2024. We did upgrade of PostgreSQL with QlikSense upgrade. Having said that it was not straight forward where we had to rename certain PostgreSQL database schema so that installation can create them during the setup of upgraded PostgreSQL.

Does the installer say which database schemas need to be renamed?

No it does not. if you get error Qlik were able to help us out with schema that required changing. Our dispatcher upgrade was failing and in logs we found below error and same was mentioned by Qlik.

The Upgrade of Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows fails on the Qlik Dispatcher Service with:

ERROR: schema "MobilityRegistrarService" already exists
ERROR:  schema "qlik_notifier_service" already exists
