GeoAnalytics shapefile resolution

Hi all,

I need to load into Qliksense a shapefile that contains information to create several polygons areas around the world, and we do have the enterprise version of GeoAnalytics.

I am using simplify with the Auto Hight resolution option, however, I keep getting the following error:

"QVX_SYNTAX_ERROR: Area processing failed. Too many categories in a small area. Try increasing the resolution."

Is there any way to work around this issue?

Hi,

Note that "Simplify" requires the input layer to be non-overlapping and use best practice for generalization. For odd datasets you might want to do load instead which doesn't modify the input or try generalize in a GIS edit tool that allows more parameters to be set such as QGIS.

Thanks,

Hi Patric,

Thank you, your answer was very useful.

I didn't know that Simplify requires the input layer to be non-overlapping and that was the issue.

Best regards,
