Supported PostgreSQL version in Qlik Sense Products

Hello,

Are there any requirement regarding  PostrgeSQL database version to be install before upgrade Qlik Sense single node ?

To be more spécific: does Qlik Sense last version works with PostrgeSQL database version 9.6?

Note that the DEPRECATED regards only the feature called Centralized logging database, not all the Repository database

Hi @DGE,

As Riccardo provided, from the May 2021 release on, the default version of PostgreSQL is 12.5.  When upgrading a version released prior to May 2021 to version May 2021 or later, the PostgreSQL database isn't upgraded.  Refer to Qlik Support article Qlik Sense May 2021 - Upgrade bundled PostgreSQL to 12.5 version which states:

PostgreSQL 12.5 will only be deployed during a fresh installation of Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows May 2021. This means that, if you are upgrading to Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows May 2021, PostgreSQL will remain on 9.6.

For many organizations, running on the latest supported PostgreSQL version is a security requirement. To achieve this:

• Move Qlik Sense database to standalone PostgresSQL database in which case you will have control of which PostgreSQL version is deployed as long as it is supported by the system requirements
• Continue to use the bundled PostgreSQL with version 12.5
