recover an accidentally deleted app on Qlik Cloud
Hello Qlik Friends,
is it possible to recover a deleted app from the qlik sense cloud version?
The app was in a shared space and in the event viewer I can identify the app id, the date and the user who deleted it.
I´ve read an old post that said it was not possible, but I would like to know if anything has changed regarding this.
Thank you in advance for your help.

There has been a public idea about implementing a recycle bin function on the client managed version of Qlik Sense, but I couldn't find anything about the SaaS product.
So, I have created one! https://community.qlik.com/t5/Suggest-an-Idea/Recycle-bin-for-SaaS-editions-of-Qlik-Sense/idi-p/1822...
Feel free to add your comments and likes to the idea, so that it can get weight and be brought up to Product Management's attention.
Generally speaking, if you feel a feature is missing from the product, the ideation page is the place to go to request to have it added. Check Ideation Guidelines: Getting Started with Ideation for more details.

I've just encountered this very scenario, although someone else with Admin privileges did the deleting. could we not have a recovery option where an app is only deleted after a given timeframe and is in a space for recovery.
Disappointed that no one from Qlik has answer this post!!

Qlik is on the record for saying you have to do your own backups... listed in this Q&A page:

@Or I'm aware of Qlik being on record of saying that you should make own backups, however there was a throwaway comment in the recording which said 'for now' this was nearly six months ago and my issue with that comment is that I build POCs (currently I have 92 on the go), That means I would have to double the required space on the cloud if I took a backup of each one and increase my workload to duplicate each one after I have updated or amended them, not something I am happy with doing. A simple answer would be to have a boolean that simply stops anyone just accidently deleting the app (as has happened in this case) or I lockdown the enterprise so no-one else can delete my apps in all the spaces, which would be a bit draconian.
If the above is not possible the best practice should be moving an app to a Space and then let Tenant Admin delete the app after a given time.
I would also suggest that https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge-Base/Top-5-Things-to-Know-When-Using-Qlik-Sense-SaaS/ta-p/17... should be updated as the SaaS App sizes have changed and it continues to evolve on a daily basis.
Regards
CHris

@CHansfordI fully agree with your take on the situation - just sharing the last known comment I've seen from Qlik on this subject. If there's been anything more recent, I didn't catch it.

@Daniele_Purrone in our SaaS tenant we have implemented a Shared Space to act as a Recycle Bin, so instead of deleting we move our apps to that space and then if after a given time they are not required they are deleted.
It works for us.

@CHansford that's definitely a great workaround, as long as users are trained to do that.
On the other hand, I think it would be better to build the functionality into the product.
