Chart that can't act as filter (Feb 2018)

I want to know how to accomplish something in qliksense

I have a complex dashboard, and there is one chart I want to show, but I do not want that chart to act as a filter for others - so if that chart (a map actually) is clicked the data in the others should stay the same. However if other charts are clicked it they will affect others (if they affect the map that is fine, if they do not that is fine too)

I know in October 2018 and later, we have alternate states that provide this - BUT at present  I am on February 2018 (I cant just install it, I need to work through IT bureocracy)

I am not asking how to prevent a filter from applying to my map,  that is done with the set expression {1} - it is the reverse, I do not want that chart to act as a filter

How can I accomplish the same?

Thanks for the help

Hi

You can definitely use extension

https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-Healthcare-User-Group/Alternate-States-within-Qlik-Sense/gpm-p/14...

Without extension there is this solution, not sure will be helpful to you or not though

I figured that adding <Field> to the other charts allows them to not respond to that selection, in my case that was enough as the map was on a unique dimension. I believe other answers work too
