According to Always one selected value (help.qlik.com), the Always One Selected Value (AOSV) option should select the first entry in the field. In some cases, the value selected when the Sense app is opened is not the first.
This can happen when using a bookmark based on a formula. This article explains why.
Environment
- Qlik Sense Enterprise on February 2021 and higher
Resolution
This is how Always One Selected Value functions in relation to bookmarks:
- Bookmarks with an explicit value:
The selected value is always applied when the app is reopened.
- Bookmarks with an expression:
When the field has no selections applied, the expression is evaluated and applied;
When the field has a selection applied, the expression is evaluated among the selected values then applied.
Cause
The expression in the bookmark is calculated on the selected values, so it may seem that the value reported is not the first in the field if a selection was applied before closing the application. In fact, AOSV takes the first value of the field among the selected ones.
