Before the Upgrade: What Version of Qlik Replicate should I upgrade to?

While the first option is to upgrade to the latest and current release, some companies adopt a latest release minus one version policy. The idea is to upgrade to a version that has been in the field longer and has received any needed service packs. But there are things to be considered when choosing:

Source and target endpoint compatibilities

Always verify compatibility of your clients or driver software for certified endpoints. Upgrading your endpoints can drive an upgrade of Qlik Replicate, or it can prevent you from upgrading to the latest version. 

Each supported Qlik Replicate version has its supported target and source endpoints listed on the Qlik help site:

Operating system compatibility

Does your operating system support the version of Qlik Replicate you want to upgrade to? Verify the supported platforms for your version:

Qlik Enterprise Manager and Qlik Compose compatibility

If you use Qlik Enterprise Manager or Qlik Compose, review compatibility with Qlik Replicate:

Release Cadence, Patches, and Release Notes

  • Review Qlik's Release Management Policy on how frequently new versions are released and how long they receive patches and support
  • Review the Qlik Replicate Product Lifecycle for End of Support Dates
  • Review the Release Notes of the version you choose, including the Release notes for your Qlik Enterprise Manager and Qlik Compose installations. Qlik generally does not publish every service pack on the main downloads page as they are for specific issues. If you locate an issue in the Release Notes which has a service pack available that is not listed on the download site, request a download link from Support.

1. Does this issue occur in your Production Environment (Not QA/Test/Dev etc)? Do you have a workaround?
This is in PROD

2. Is the issue with one task or all tasks?
All PostgreSQL Tasks

3. Is it a brand new task? Has anything changed in the environment or the design of the task?
This is Old Task . There was upgrade in PostgreSQL Version to 12.x

Hey @pillaikapil256 ,

How much time will upgrade take ? -> Replicate upgrades do not take a long time to apply, but there are pre-upgrade steps which ensure a successful upgrade. We highly recommend testing upgrades on a lower DEV or TEST environment before applying to PROD.
