NPrinting Feb 2020 Migration from OS 2008R2 to OS 2016

Hi There, we are experience slowness running same reports in OS 2016 compared to OS 2008 R2. Anyone has any similar experience? I there any particular tuning parameters to look into?

Thank You,

Ganesh

HI @gdevarashettyhf

I guess it also depends on hardware right?

Forget OS server version, but say running Windows 7 on PC and Windows 10 requires newer hardware to achieve the same speed (newer CPU technology etc..), right? How does this look in your case? Are you using the same #of CPU and RAM but with newer specs?

From NPrinting point of view I have never seen any performance degradation based on OS

Hi,

I agree with @Lech_Miszkiewicz also because we test Qlik NPrinting performances on different OS before releasing. So I suspect the cause is another, not the OS. Maybe the HW resources or the workload also of the QlikView or Qlik Sense server used in Qlik NPrinting connections.

Best REgards,

Ruggero

I understand your viewpoint. Basically trying to resolve the performance issue with 2016. May i know what all options we should check? So far we checked these below and all match.

1. Server Size CPU/RAM

2. Scheduler.config and engine.config

3. Qlik and NP Servers

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

About performances refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/November2020/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/Performanc....

Also the structure of the report impacts on performances but I suppose you did not changed them.

Best Regards,

Ruggero
