In my test environment virtual machine (Win Server 2012 R2 standard with Sense 3.0.4 & Nprinting 17.2.1 (NPrinting 17.2.2 installed. This didn't fix the problem) (Network settings: NAT)) I can't send emails to my QNP users. I tried to use the gmail SMTP server with TLS. But i get an error in the Nprinting scheduler log.
The distribution of the report to the QS hub and QNP Newsstand both work.
I use Google Chrome as the browser application.
The QNP service account has RootAdmin, DeploymentAdmin and ContentAdmin rights.
The QNP User has user access to QS.
The virtual machine has access to the internet.
Edit: I made a new gmail account to test this out. But it didn't work. I get the same warning. I cleaned up the log files and found a problem that i haven't seen before. I'll post them here. So there are some arguments that could not be parsed and a heartbeat warning. I'll attach the complete logfile.

Could someone help me. Thanks in advance.
If more information is needed please leave a comment and i will try to add it to this post.

Hello Daniel,
Thank you again for the reply. This didn't work on the machine i was working on. When i tried on a private computer it did work. I did some asking inside our organisation and the problem is our firewall and virusscan software. The SMTP signal gets blocked by the software and / or firewall.
Thank you for your replies about this problem.
Hi Lauran,
Can you test outside of NPrinting and confirm that your SMTP settings are correct? Here is one way to do that: PowerShell Script to test SMTP settings
HTH - Daniel.
Hi Lauran,
Which email address did you use at the "Default sender email"? Is the same as the one in the "Username" field?
Kind regards,
Gerald
Hello Daniel,
Thank you for your reply. I did the test as mentioned in your linked post and with run as administrator.
I think it came out to be the same failure as in the log file. What would be the next step to take from here?
Edit: I tried the same actions with the smtp server for live (hotmail) SSL enabled and disabled but I get the same error. On ps1: 36 char 9 failure sending mail.
Edit2: I tried this on my computer (so not in the VM) and this fails as well. Could this be my network? I'll try this out at a different location.
Edit3: I tried this on a different location and it still doesn't work. I'm running out of options that i can think of myself.
Kind regards,
Lauran
Hello Gerald,
Thanks for your reply.
I checked it and it is the same.
Kind regards,
Lauran
Hi Lauran,
First check that "Allow less secure apps" is set to "ON": Nprinting, email settings SMTP error. | Qlik Community
If the script still fails check that you can telnet to smtp.gmail.com on port 587? You might need to install the Telnet Client feature first. On Windows Server 2012 R2:
I get

The SMTP traffic got blocked by the firewall or the virus scan software. Try again with your virus scan software disabled. Otherwise it could be the software or hardware firewall.
I have the same problem now... what can I do bout it ???
