Pixel Report template or copy the format of an existing report

Hello,

I now have a Pixel Perfect Report that everyone likes.

I need to create more pixel perfect reports with different Dashboards.

What is the best way to copy the Pixel Perfect Report to a different report so that I can use it as a template?  I want to keep the same margins, fonts, labels, etc.  I know that some parts of the report will change.

Thank You,

Michael

Yes, you can also do that.

Just us the 'custom' option when creating your report so you can upload the .npx file.

You can retrieve the .npx file from the exported report mentioned in the my first response.

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/May2022/Content/NPrinting/ReportsDevelopment/Load-file-as-temp...

You can do this for any report for which can be exported. (not possible with qlik entity reports).

In that case, you may want to do this in the future.

1. Create a base template report

2. Adjust the properties of this report as needed without adding any levels, tables or images etc

3. Insert any custom logos as needed or other formatting

4. Save and close the report

5. Export the report template by using the report export feature in the NP web console. Moving reports between environments

6. When creating a new report, you can simple import the template report then start adding levels, tables images as needed.

You 'could' do the same with an existing report but then it gets a bit tricky updating the band (tables, levels, images etc) data bindings.

Kind regards...

Hello,

Because I have an existing report, can't I just export the existing report and then take the npx file from the export and then when creating the new report just take the npx file?

I just want to get the margins, page size and header.  I don't need the detail bands because they will change.

Thanks,

Michael
