Hello, I'm glad to be a new member in this community.
We are experiencing a problem sending the NPrinting reports.
Years ago we had configured an office365 account to send the reports. Then we started with problems. We executed some tasks but only few were sent or experienced delays.
Then we found another SMTP server on Internet with old TLS and basic authentication and all were fine. Lately we had to find another SMTP server that is the actual.
We want to use office365 again, but I don't know if it's possible or not. We need to avoid delaying problems.
I have seen this topic that I think it's the same problem:
May you help us?
Our NPrinting version is 17.3.1.0
Thanks in advance
Hi,
Did you really say "NPrinting 17.3.1.0" ? Pretty old isn't it ? I think you might upgrade it to the lastest version. You'll have better performance, and to solve your issue better logs. Moreover, this version is out of support for a while and might contains a lot of security issue.
Kind regards
Kind regards
In NPrinting you only provide details of SMTP. Once done there are no more settings or configuration. What you need to understand is that SMTP by itself may have limitations and NPrinting has no control over it so if you have any SMTP issues you may want to check if your SMTP is not treating NPrinting as spam, whether it does not have any limitations on number of emails sent etc.
99.99% of the time thats the issue and not NPrinting.
cheers
@stocklogistic have a look at: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Support-Updates/Deprecation-of-basic-authentication-for-Exchange-Onlin...
Oauth is supported in Qlik Cloud Reporting, not in NPrinting though:
Hi,
17.3 version was released in 2017, 7 years ago, at it is no more supported. Please plan an upgrade to a supported version (latest is better to benefit of all solved issues and new features) but start by reading carefully the upgrading documentation:
because upgrading a so old version requires some intermediate steps.
About SMTP configuration refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2024/Content/NPrinting/AdministeringQVNprinting/Set-up.... Newer versions have the same limitation on SMTP authentication of your one.
If you experience errors on sending email, please note that Qlik NPrinting acts as an email client so always check also the SMTP logs.
Best Regards,
Ruggero
