Hi,
We are having a few issues with NPrinting 17.2, one of which is emails taking a long time to arrive. We are struggling to see progress of tasks running, and specifically want to see when NPrinting is talking to the SMTP server and comparing that to when the email comes through.
I've seen this section on logging:
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/17.0/Content/AdministeringQVNprinting/Logging/Logging.htm
However, I've not seen anything in here about when emails are being fired off.
Does anyone know where these log files should go to? ath do you have any ideas on this?
Being able to see where the generation process any tasks are would also be a very big help - but that's a different thread...
We have 17.2 pointing to a Qlik Sense Server.
Cheers,
Steve

Thanks for the speedy response Aran.
Will certainly look at turning on the more verbose logging and putting on the latest version.
Regarding 17.2.1, I can't see on the Downloads site documentation regarding upgrading. Is it simply a case of running each of the three .exe files in the same order as the original install to apply over the top of a 17.2.0 installation?
Looking at the list of issues that have been resolved we have experienced quite a few of them - so am looking forward to getting this installed.

Hi Steve - a few things on this topic:
Regards,
Kyle
Hi Kyle,
Thank you - that's very useful information.
Building a sense app to look in the log files is very high up on my to-do list - there seem to be an awful lot of entries that are not important making it hard to find the really important stuff.
Cheers,
Steve
Hey Steve,
have you come up with a Sense application to analyse NPrinting logs?
Many thanks,
Riccardo
Not as yet, but it is something that I can imagine I will have to do at some point - unless someone else has beaten me to it and posted their app online...
