Recommendations on latency tuning for transactional apply mode.

Hi guys,

Are there any agreed upon recommendations of change processing tuning for a task in transactional apply mode? The source and target are both Microsoft SQL Server.

Regards,

Mohammed

Hello Mohammed @MoeyE ,

Thanks for reaching out to Qlik Community!

We'd like to understand further about the task design, the reason of set to Transactional Apply Mode rather than Batch Apply Mode, as latency may build up in Transactional Apply Mode even after tuning, any helpful information is welcome.

Thanks,

John.

Hi John,

Ok understood. The transactional apply mode is a requirement as transactional integrity is required for this use case.

Hello @MoeyE ,

Regarding the rutning, please check Latency / Performance Troubleshooting and Tuning for Replicate.

BTW, please try to reduce the 2 parameters values in advanced tab to see if helpful:

  • Minimum number of changes per transaction
  • Maximum time to batch transactions before applying (seconds)

The smaller values will trigger the apply operation frequently.

Hope this helps.

John.

Hi John,

Thanks, we'll play around with decreasing these then monitoring.
