QVW doesn't respond/frozen

Hey Lads,

our users have access to different QVW Files (finance, sales, etc.) over the Qlikview Access Point.

One of our users may access to all of the QVW files, but one application is not resonding anymore. That means, no selection, clear, close or other option is possible to click. The only option ist to close the browser and that's it. All other files working properly and also the other users may access the not responding QVW file without any issues.

We are working with the latest Version of QV 11 and don't use Publisher. Our clients are using IE 9.

We've already tried:

- to remove last document state

- delet all temp files of IE on the client

- Server restart

Do you got any idea how to fix the issue?

Kind regards

Felix

At what point in time is the application freezing when this user tries to access it?

Does it freeze just when trying to opening the app or later after making some selections?

marcus_sommer

Are any OnOpen-trigger or other trigger enabled? Are there any queries on the osuser() or is section access implemented? Another try could be to remove (with backup) the shared- and meta-files and/or to remove the settings.ini from the user.

Server Collaboration has been enabled?

If you can find out which sheet is displayed by default, in QMC drop all server objects this user placed on that sheet. Otherwise, drop them all.

If you want to do this as a test, make a backup copy of the corresponding .Shared file in the document root, before deleting the objects. Simply resotring this file will put back all deleted objects.
