Hi guys,
i've had a server rebuild of our old QV server (2008 box), which had an EDX process setup to fire multiple tasks on the QMC from our DW (Microsoft SQL Server).
The new box is a 2016 model and i need to get the EDX process back back up and running. Problem is i either wasnt involved (or cant remember) setting up the EDX process on the old server.
QMC is April 2020
any help?
Cheers
@wonkymeister Here is the link to the online help for setting up and creating EDX triggers in QlikView.
You can also take a look at this document. It is older but should still be applicable

HI @wonkymeister,
Yes, EDX works with all current versions of QVS. The online Help URL Lucas provided is for the April 2020 version. The November 2017 URL is here: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/November2017/Subsystems/Server/Content/QlikView-Server/QVSRM_Pu... but please do note that November 2017 (12.10) reached end of life for support for quite some time - November 2019. See Qlik Sense, QlikView, and NPrinting End of Support Date for more details.
Best Regards

Cheers guys, sorry i've been away on leave etc.
Does EDX work on later versions of Qlik? ie November 2017 SR5?

Cheers Chip. Will have a look at this and get my Client updated. Oddly enough, my last server install is QlikView Server @ April 2020 but my desktop client is November 2017 SR5 - shouldnt versions be aligned anyway?
@wonkymeister, yeah you'd want the versions between QV Server and QV Desktop to be the same. They're separate products and have separate installation .exe files, so you'd need to be sure to install both if you haven't done so.
Best Regards
Thanks Chip
