Hi,
When i run a QVW by clicking Reload Now button in Reload Tab, the application runs and completes with no issues. But the same task is not showing up in Status -> Tasks tab.
Please let me know why this is happening.
Thanks,
Rakul.
You won't see a "Reload now" job in the Task overview because as long as you don't configure a schedule and all of the required properties in the Reload tab and click the apply button, there is no real task running the reload. It's more of an ad-hoc temporary job that gets launched and then disappears without a trace.
Change the Schedule selection option from None (meaning nothing at all) to something else like "On an external event" aYou will instantly get a new task in the overview that doesn't do anything by itself unless you click the play button (in the overview) or press the Reload now button in the reload tab.
Tasks must be explicitly created in order to show up in the taks overview. Just like Agnivesh already explained.
Best,
Peter
Hi,
Schedule your QVW app as ,
Hourly,Weekly,On event from another task then you can see it in the Task Overview Based on your scheduling.

Hi Hirish and Peter,
Thanks for clarifying. So can I conclude as Adhoc Reload request will not be displayed in Tasks tab and only scheduled based on time or other events will be displayed in Tasks tab?
Thanks,
Rakul.
Hi rakul,
that's correct!
Andy
Yes.
But you can also perform an Ad-hoc reload request on a Scheduled task or a task with a trigger assigned to it. Of course, such a task was already present in the task status screen (doing nothing) and will now start to play.
But documents for which you only press the Reload now button without assigning a trigger to them will not show up in the task status overview.

Hi Rakul,
I faced the same issue.
To clarify, u run the job through "Reload Now" option in documents tab. U see the log files getting updated but the status is not shown in Status tab.
Even though there is no defined task available for a particular document while it is being executed in QMC it seems to show the status in status bar(a new task entry is created). Once the run is complete this entry will vanish. But while running it is seen in the status bar.
For me this was the scenario, but suddenly i was not able to see running tasks in status bar. I restarted the QDS service, now am able to see.
hope this helps someone

Sundar
