Hi,

I have a qvw file. I am pulling data from SAP using the inbuilt connector. I want to reload the qvw continuously.

Can this be achieved? How?

I have a qlikview server. I want to know how to reload continuously!

Please help. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help. I tried doing this.

I was able to create a reload task successfully. But when I reload it through QMC, it fails. Please refer to the screenshot below.

Check the document log. It's located in the same folder as your QVW document. If you don't find a document log, enable option "Generate log file" in Settings->Document Properties->General in QV Desktop. Then reload again.

On the right side you can see the log file for each execution, please attach it.

It would be easier to help if you attach the qvw.log file too

This says that the execution finished. But in qmc it says that the task FAILED. So now has it been executed or no? Has the reload been successful?

Okay so I just figured that the task that I have created reloads the .qvw and then distributes it.

I checked the log. Everything is fine till the reload part, its when the file is being distributed the task fails.

Can somebody please tell me what do you mean by distributing the file.

I just want to see the changes in the reloaded file, via internet explorer without needing to refresh the page.

The document log shows no errors, although the last load returning 0 lines bothers me a bit.

A QDS Reload job also has a TaskLog that documents everyhthing that happens before or after script execution. mostly QDS management -related stuff. The TaskLog can be found - as Clever Anjos indicated - in the QMC task overview by selecting your failed task and clicking the "Show Task Details" link at the top right. The last tab shows the task log details. Please cut and paste this information in this thread. Thanks

Well it was indeed the distribution that failed, and for a seemingly simple reason. Have a look at this part:

To distribute a document to Named Users, the QlikView Distribution Service has to figure out who these users really are. For that he uses the Directory Service Connector.

Apparently your Server has no DSC configured, or the DSC isn't working properly. Check the DSC configuration in QMC.

you have a source document and user document structure and when you distribute it the app will be refreshed in user document which you can see through access point.

in distribute tab try using all users as user type and mount it to a folder.

create a task from source document and go through all the tabs in the trigger task creation carefully.

hopefully you have AD groups configured.
