SUM ({$<[Fiscal Year]={$(=only([Fiscal Year])) }>}Amount)
that expression should do the job is you fiscal year is set right. i mean all the data from 1 august 2010 to 31 june 2011 must have the same fiscal year (ex: F11 or "2010 / 2011")

Thanks for your reply ionut.bostan. I have split my fiscal years up like so
Posting Date | FiscalYear | FiscalMonth | FiscalQtr | FiscalPeriod |
01/01/2000 | 1999-2000 | January | Q2 | FP6 |
02/01/2000 | 1999-2000 | January | Q2 | FP6 |
03/01/2000 | 1999-2000 | January | Q2 | FP6 |
04/01/2000 | 1999-2000 | January | Q2 | FP6 |
05/01/2000 | 1999-2000 | January | Q2 | FP6 |
06/01/2000 | 1999-2000 | January | Q2 | FP6 |
do you mean I should add another column?
e.g. year 2000 would be for 01/08/1999 to 31/07/2000. Then year 2001 for 01/08/2000 to... and so on
so in my expression i'd be using the year column?
thanks for your time
Hi,
I wolud try to use only one year as Fiscal Year name, e.g. Fiscal Year 1999 (1/8/99 - 31/7/2000)...
/@Ungvall
Thanks Torbjörn and ionut your help is appreciated. The fiscal year name is a naming convention for the users, i'll just add another column. Thanks!
