How to assign a color to Dimension's value ?

Hello !

I am new to Qlikview, looked at different topic related to colors, but could not make it work for me. Probably a very basic question for you, sorry.

I made a simple chart showing number of critical, high, medium and low incidents (Dimension: Priority).

Expression is: Count(Incidents)

I like to have BAR Graph always using same colors, say: Red for Critical and Orange for High.

From the other topic in these discussion group, I guess it should be an expression on the background color's property of the dimension "Priority"

Something like:

if(Priority = "Critical", Red())

But I get a "Bad Field Name(s): "Critical".

The proposed samples in the other discussions are based on numeric value of the dimension, how can I make it base on the different dimensions categories ?

Thanks.

p.s: I'am testing Qlikview with the standalone version, please don't send me script that I will not be able to open without loosing my test dashboard.

Use single quotes here: 'Critical'

Double quotes are for field name, single quotes for field values.

Michael
