How to clear selection history in Qlikview

I found that the selection history still remains in the selection box everytime when I open the qlikview report on the IE web browser.

I tried to clear them by clicking the Rubber icon in the Selection Box, however after I open the report again in IE and find it is still there.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

hi Jin,

As per my understanding There two possibilty for this.

It might be possible the application might be saved with that selection.

For eg: if you select yearr 2010 in the application (QVW) and save it. It will be visible to others though IE.

Or

You might have set the clear state. When you make selection like 2010 and say set clear state, it 2010 as default selection even if you clear it the selection will not be removed.

to remove it right click on the small clear icon on left top. and press reset clear state.\

Go to Document properties --> Triggers and see if any OnOpen action items has been added there to have a default section On Opening of the dashboard. If so, delete them. If you are working on a file which has been developed by someone else, it quite possible that the other person might have set some default report open selections.

Thank you for your reply, the problem still exists.

1. There is no selections in the QVW file after it was created and published.

2. I also cleared the browse history in the IE, but the previous selections are still in the selection box when I access it via IE web browser.

3. When I access to same IP address of the report with another computer via IE web browser. I can see there is no selections in the Selection box

It is a very strange thing, that drives me mad.

I checked the setting, and found there is no Action Settings in the trigger tag.

I also tried to set the 'Clear All' action for the 'OnOpen' on the Document.

After I opened the report in the IE web browser, I still can see the previous selections remaining in the selection box.

When I used another computer typing in the same IP address and opened the report in IE, I found there is no any selections with this computer, so strange. : (

Then you might have set clear state. The fianl way would be deleting teh PGO files located in the mounted folder.

But you will losse other info. For eg if you have made user reports u might loose it.

Take back of the pgo files and try deleting it.

Hi All,

I too facing the same problem. I am opening one Qlikview document from another QVW using URL . I am passing different selection parameters using URL. When I first open URL, it is QV dashboard displaying with correct parameters.  even I re select with different parameters, it is displaying old parameter selection document.

On Open Clear all trigger is not working. Please let me know how to fix this issue ..........
