Hi,
after uploading data through ODBC connections, QV don't allow me to upload excel files. I try to select an excel file but the sw crashes. Also, i try to open a different file .qvw without ODBC connections but the problem is the same.
Please, help me!!!
Could you try to load only the Excel file?
Yes, I open another QV document but when i try to upload an excel file, the sw crashes.
I don't understand!
Hi ,
what you are facing Crashing software means?
if it a QlikView(QV) personal edition please remove or delete the software in your machine and download a latest edition/version of QV software. At present QV software latest version is 12.....
How to load excel data into QV below link will guide you.

please reach out us if you have any issue.+91 8376 964 364.
It would be helpful to have more details as to the issue you're experiencing. Is Qlikview Desktop or Qlikview Server crashing? Can you please elaborate on what "crashing" means here, what happens when you experience the issue? What version of Qlikview Desktop or Qlikview Server are you using? Has this Excel upload worked in the past but no longer does? Were there any changes in the environment such as a Qlikview upgrade before this issue started occurring?
Thanks,
Josh

Hi and thank you for the advices.
I try to install the latest version of QV but, unfortunately, the sw don't works.
As soon as I select an excel file, QV crashes (when I click with the mouse nothing happens and I'm forced to close the document.
I don't know why.
I've downloaded the latest version (12) of QV personal edition x64, when i try to upload an excel file QV crashes (nothing happens when i click everywhere in the document). Yes, 10 days ago the sw worked but, when i try to used the ODBC connections, i think that something happened.
Crashes means usually that the tool and/or the OS just closed and/or returned a message that a critical error happens and/or that the consumption of CPU/RAM are hitting the max. system resources - did really anything of this happens to you?
If not (and I assume it is not) it could be that there is only any popup-window asking to admit/reject anything - just check if there is such popup hidden below your other windows or moved from your visible screen (especially by a multi-monitor environment it's a common case).

The only troubleshooting step I have at this point is to rename your Settings.ini file, which you will fine here by default:
C:\Users\UserProfileName\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView
Just be sure client is not running, rename the Settings.ini in that location, then launch the client again and see if that gets everything working again. If it does, something got messed up in the Settings.ini, but I really have no good guess what that may have been. You will receive some prompts when you launch things, just FYI, language preference etc., and you may need to relicense etc. too... Hopefully this may do the trick if you are still fighting things.

Brett
