Section Access

Hi friends,

I am using an application which contain the two fields such as.

I am having the field as

Region    OTBranch

North        Gurgaon

East         Kolkata

West        Bombay

South,      Banglore

  and so on.

What I want to do is that, I have to apply section access such as only the Person associted with that region can only see the data.

Thanks and regards

Kamal

There are many different ways to do this. I would probably make a Section Access with two tables:

Table1: REGION, QTBRANCH
Table2: NTNAME, ACCESS, QTBRANCH

and in the Section Application I would have a field REGION in some table. Then the person that logs on will be found in the NTNAME column, which links to QTBRANCH which in turn links to REGION.

Note that the linking field REGION (and its field values) must be all UPPER case.
