Dear Khalid ,

Can I know your definition of alerts (in general not belong to Qlikview 🙂 )?

Cheers ,

Hi Khalid,

You can get alerts in QlikView by using macros. You will have to specify a condition for that. that is if something happens shoot an alretbox. you have to write this macro manually using VB Script in the macro definition page. Hope this helps you. Also specify what kind of alerts you are trying to get.

Thanks Joseph.......

Many thanks Joseph, actually i am a Siebel Analytics developer and in Siebel did Alerts with CASE WHEN statements conditions and Ibots but here i have no knowlege of defining vb scripts. Actually am learning Qlikview and there is so much difference between Siebel Analytics and QlikView, two totally different BI tools. 🙂

Confused to see QlikView 😞

Under the Tools Menu there are two Alert options. Alerts and Alert Wizard. Here you can define alerts to occur on Post Reload, Open, and Post Reduce. They can include pop-up messages, emails, etc...

Conditions can be defined intuitively with the wizard or using the expression dialog.
