Add Kafka as a target for the "store task recovery data in target"
I am attempting to support DR for Qlik Replication in our environment. Being able to call the API AemRunTask with the •RECOVER_USING_CHECKPOINT_ STORED_ON_TARGET of a kafka target would be extreemely helpful.
I am requesting that Qlik Replication add Kafak to the list of supported targets for the "store task recovery data in target" found under the Change Processing Tuning tab of the Task Settings dialog box.
We have evaluated this with R&D. Most of our customers using Kafka as a target are not using Kafka as a data store. As such, while this is a good suggestion there is not enough demand, as of yet, to put this on our roadmap.
