Qlik Enterprise Manager is the window into the multiple replicate instances in the enterprise. It enables development, deployment and troubleshooting of the Replication tasks. In addition to this, QEM also monitors the Replicate instances and tasks in realtime.

This makes QEM an important component of the replication infrastructure.

Having an external tool monitor QEM improves observability. However, we do not have an easy mechanism to monitor QEM externally.

Adding an open /status API will help us in monitoring the status.

The TestEndpoint capability needs authentication and authorization. Also, the monitoring may not be adequate depending on the API we choose to monitor with this capability. E.g. monitoring the /login API may not be sufficient.

Thank you for the suggestion.  Could you provide additional information on exactly what you are looking for that is not available today via API?  It would be helpful to get specific use cases you would like to achieve with the API.

We are looking to monitor the QEM application using external tools. Having an API to monitor will help.

We have a number of API already available that can provide monitoring and status information for tasks, for example, getTaskDetails.

Could you provide specific examples of information that you feel is missing from the API available today?
