Benefit : Improved Data security / cybersecurity
What is DLP :
"Data leak prevention is a cybersecurity practice that involves implementing secure data practices to reduce accidental exposure.
Effective data leak prevention plays a crucial role in a comprehensive data loss prevention (DLP) strategy.".
Example :
- E-mails need to be marked as "Public", "Internal", "Confidential", "Strictly Confidential" when send (depending on included data & attachments).
- E-mails are visually tagged when read.
Requirements-list :
- DLP-implementation & support :
- DLP MetaData should be hidden in the structure of the document (stored in QVD's and QVF's).
- The DLP-Metadata is supported by DLP software.
- Configuration of DLP Metadata in Qlik Sense
- Defining/Managing DLP Metadata using Tags/Categories : eg. "Public", "Internal", "Confidential", "Strictly Confidential"
- Management features/options :
- enable/disable DLP for ALL apps (making DLP classification non-optional in the company)
- Every app has to be tagged on creation (or upon modification if no tag is present yet)
- Save-formats have to be supported by the DLP-solution.
- Features
- Every App publish, needs to set the DLP-Metadata (non-optional depending onconfiguration)
- Every Qlik Sense export will automatically include the DLP classification (Metadata/tag)
- The DLP-category is automatically included in pdf-downloads and powerpoint storytelling
- (The DLP-Metadata is inherited by Nprinting App & reports.)
- Visibility to user
- The DLP-category is visible for the user (included in the header of the report/object).
- The DLP-category is also automatically visible in exports & storytelling.
- (The DLP-category is visible in NPrinting reports)
