On premises connector for Qlik Cloud Services

Most critical feature that is missing from QCS is the ability to easily connect to on premises data sources. Having an on premises data gateway would help this massively. This is most critical issue for our clients before true adaptation of QCS is possible.

This is available in powerbi, so that basically describes the needed functionality.

I agree with this 100%. There are workarounds (open firewall ports, 'small' on-prem windows server) but they both have their disadvantages too. I discussed this topic with someone from the UK Qlik presales team, and they acknowledged this is the missing piece for QCS/QSB

Also on prem server is additional licence and infrastructure costs for client. Opening firewall ports is possibility, but still we are limited to SQL data sources as there is no possibility for file share access.

Even SFTP connector would be really helpful.

On prem server is additional cost? Since when? I thought QSE got you multi-cloud capabilities as default. We've got one customer doing this under the standard prof/analyser model...

I'm not 100 % sure, but at least there is row for Qlik Cloud Services Add-on in price list for Qlik Sense Enterprise.

Hi,

Thanks for your post.

This item is in development. We will be enhancing our ability to support data sources on premise from Sense Enterprise SaaS.

This will be available in a future release.
