Pivot table with dynamic Dimension: Collapse does not work as expected.

Mediaprint_Collapse_with_DynamicDimension_DoesNotWorkQV1250SR2.gifThe behavior of 'Collapse All' has changed in regards to QlikView 12.50SR2.It was working as expected in QlikView 12.20SR10.

We would like the functionality back as it worked 12.20SR10 also in the latest release.

The problem occurs only with calculated dimensions. But we cannot avoid dynamic dimensions in every scenario, hence this is much needed feature.

Refer to attached Gif

- In QlikView 12.20SR10 the Pivot table now only shows the first two columns of the pivot table. The third Column is hidden. --> this is the expected behavior

- In QlikView 12.50SR2 the third Column is still shown. The header is still visible. The data rows just become empty.

Thnx!

100 % agree!

Sometimes you need a dynamic dimension. One typical example is the class() function. For example the dynamic dimension

=class( aggr(sum(Access*Faktor),Year,UserID),1000000)

We can not preprocess this in the script, because the result needs to be calculated based on the current enduser selection.

--> therefore we need the "COLLAPSE ALL" to work with dynamic dimensions.
