Would love to have global variables in Qlik Compose that allow mappings for metadata information.  Examples would be:  Job Name that updated this record, various date and time tracking - job start and end.  We see that we have various metadata/global variables available in the Qlik Replicate product and I think there is a strong case to make similar items available in Compose.

Hello, thanks for the idea.   Agreed - there is potential here to add some features to Compose with "header / variables".  

Would like to collect feedback from the community on this - related to the types and names of variables that could be applied.

(note that job start / end are available in the TPIL_RUNS table which has the Runno that corresponds to the RUNNO_INSERT and RUNNO_UPDATE).

I like this idea.

Regarding TPIL_RUNS, it would be very helpful if the views generated for dims and facts included a join to TPIL_RUN.   This would make it very easy to set up incremental refresh in tools like Power BI.  Of course, we could create views like this outside of Compose but it complicates the deployment process.
