[Qlik Replicate]: Unique reasons to identify how task is stop and who stop it (User id) in API call.

Hi Team,

 

We are working on some alerting and monitoring process so we are using some of task related API calls. 

We are able to get task state and task stop reason in it but we also need the unique reasons to identify how task is stopped with user id who stop it. 

Currently we are just receiving reason as "NORMAL" even if task stopped due to error or user stopped it or any scheduler stop it or any else reason. 

 

Expected result-

We need unique reason like task stopped by user, task stopped by scheduler with user id which stop it even if its system id used for scheduled task. 

 

It will be helpful for us in alerting and monitoring using API calls in python if we get this information as in task details API call.

Thanks for taking this case forward to review. 

We had discussion with support team and also we worked with them to get this fix. Support team confirmed that this feature its not in any current API or there is no any alternative from where we can get this information so need to submit it as feature request (Idea submission) on Qlik Community Portal.

Thank you for the input.  At this point we do not currently expose the reason the task was stopped in the API but will consider it for a future release.  In the meantime would like to continue collecting feedback from others on this.

Hi Team,

  • if the task is stopped using Qlik Enterprise manager we get  the user id who stop the task and the task name information  from  Qlik Enterprise manager in the audit trail.
  • if the task is stopped using Qlik Replication we cant get the User Information who stopped the task ,the task name (if the task is stopped using  Qlik Replication there is no stop feature )
