Qlik Sense Pivot table: "Expand/collapse ALL" on single level

When using a Pivot table with several levels, one can "right-click" on the level and use the option "expand/collapse All". This option does not allow to expand the single level.

Customers want to be able to expand a level "expand next level" and keep others collapsed.

Yes, we just need the same feature that already exists in Qlikview 😃

Yes please. Other than being too far down the feature backlog, is there a genuine reason why this feature is still missing? I'd love to know if there is a non extension based workaround other than using conditional show/hide dimensions using variables.

This was actually one of the most annoying things for the business in a big QlikView to Qlik Sense migration when we got features from the business afterwards. It also has a performance impact when everyting is expanded at once - much better to allow it by level instead.

I have workaround solution. Basically, (1) creating a list with the name of the pivot levels; (2) creating the list with a multiple select checkboxes; (3) displaying / including the levels when selected; (4) then expand all to support partial pivot result. Here is an example function to control the display of the levels.

=If(WildMatch(GetFieldSelections(Hierarchy,'|'),'*Region*') > 0, 1, 0)

Example data:

Menu:
NoConcatenate
LOAD * INLINE [
Hierarchy
Region
Market
BU
];

Data:
NoConcatenate
LOAD * INLINE [
Region, Market, BU, Qty
R1, M1, B1, 10
R1, M2, B2, 10
R2, M1, B3, 10
R2, M2, B4, 10
R3, M1, B5, 10
R4, M2, B6, 10
];

The checkbox UI is the SimpleFieldSelect.

Putting in my vote to please include this feature as quickly as possible. This expand/collapse all feature was a great addition, however it is a great source of frustration for our business units who have to click individually through each dimension to get to the desired level of drill down rather than all at once, which a previous poster noted has performance implications.

As such, per one of our end users the feature, "unfortunately comes off as as a half-baked implementation".  If this can be bubbled up the list to make it into a release in the next couple of months that would be great and would go a long way to ensuring that we can have Qlik Sense be the main source of analytics engagement in our organization.
