Recycle bin for Qlik Cloud

Recycle bin for Qlik Cloud

More and more cloud services are currently adding a "recycle bin" functionality, to prevent accidental deletion of content, or to allow people to change their minds.
It would be a great idea to implement that in Qlik Cloud as well. Apps should not be deleted immediately but put in a bin for a defined number of days before they get removed permanently.
Then users/admins might would have the option to undo the deletion.

And QSEoW client-managed too. SaaS is not available for all Qlik customers.

This feature is an absolute must have!

Our current recommended workaround to clients is to set up a dedicated 'Recycle Bin' Shared Space and make manual backups at a regular cadence - however this is not ideal and does not catch all instances.

Hello All,

Its a best option to have a Recycle bin/Dedicated folder in place for SaaS, for any accidental deletion can be restored by Admin.

If not Recycle Bin, is there any way to restore the deleted App/Data in Qlik SaaS?

Thanks,

Karthik Parasa

Hi @Karthik_Parasa , there is currently no way of restoring deleted items.

Recycle Bin would be very much appreciated

Seems like a complete oversight not to have this as a native feature. I know similar can probably be setup via automations, but it should be a default feature.
