Set the maximum number of SMTP connections in Qlik NPrinting

We suggest to add a parameter in the configuration files or in the user interface to set the maximum number of concurrent connections on SMTP server in Qlik NPrinting. Not limiting the concurrent SMTP connections is creating troubles to some SMTP servers.

This idea was mentioned in the community, for example in https://community.qlik.com/t5/Qlik-NPrinting-Discussions/Email-send-out-fails-due-to-the-maximum-num...

Best Regards,
Ruggero

Better idea:
Use your messenger also for "smtp jobs", then there would be no concurrent connections. Only one connection at the same time!

Any solutions available yet?

Great idea! Big companies don't like downtime on their exchange server to change a parameter like "maxinboundconnectionpersource". Limiting the maximum connections on Qlik Nprinting side would be a nice feature!

Closing a request that has been open for years without comment isn't good customer service: a short note about alternatives or future planned improvements would be appreciated.

Indeed. I just a that exact question on how to reduce the amount of sent out emails. That's how I found this solution. Seems like it is not possible and not wanted -> NPrinting = bad?

Hi @Andrew_Kruger

Can you please explain the closing of this without commenting.

We are facing concurrency issues so this would be a great feature.

Thanks
