I would love to see this. I personally would appreciate an implementation different than the one on QV:
on QMC show only a list of executions with meaningful details (start timestamp, reload result, reload time, reload node, ...?)
a button/link to the folder where the log is stored. Best option would be to be able to condition this button/link, in order to show it only to some users (RootAdmins or app/project owners)
With no Task History, and no built-in alerting system for failed reloads, we have no information as to whether an app failed recently.
This is especially an issue for apps with a frequent reload schedule. A Qlik Sense app that reloads hourly could fail on some executions overnight, but then start succeeding again. When we view QMC > Tasks the following day, all we know is it succeeded on its last reload. Tasks could be failing multiple times a night, or at the same time every night, and we'd have no idea!
We can try implementing email alerting using the SMTP web connector, but that seems rather convoluted in comparison to the native solution in Qlikview. Even if we had that working, the absence of a Task History leaves us with no simple view of results over time, so identifying trends is difficult without manually logging the results in some external file.
In short, Task History and Email Alerting (without having to purchase a separate product or install additional services) should be included directly in Qlik Sense's QMC.
