Edit February 12th, 2026: Follow-up patches have been released.Edit January 21st, 2026: Updated the title and content to include the November 2024 release
The patches resolving the ODBC-based connectors issue post-upgrade have been released as of February 12th, 2026. Check the download page for the following releases:
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows November 2025Patch 3
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows May 2025Patch 13
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows November 2024Patch 25
During recent testing, Qlik has identified an issue that can occur after upgradingQlik Sense on-premiseto specific releases. While the upgrade completes successfully, some environments may experience problems with ODBC-based connectors after the upgrade.
The issue is upgrade path dependent and relates to connector components that are included as part of the Qlik Sense client-managed installation.
The advisory applies to the following releases:
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows November 2024
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows May 2025
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows November 2025
Recommendation: After upgrading Qlik Sense on-premise, verify your connector functionality as part of your post-upgrade checks.
How can I identify if I am affected?
The issue can typically be identified by files being missing after the upgrade. In this example, theAthenaconnector is not working, and the following file is missing:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvOdbcConnectorPackage\athena\lib\AthenaODBC_sb64.dll
In this example, all ODBC connectorsstopped working:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Qlik\Custom Data\QvOdbcConnectorPackage\QvxLibrary.dll
With theQvxLibrary.dllmissing, both existing and newly created ODBC connections will fail.
How do I resolve the issue?
Fixes were released on February 12th, 2026.
Check the download page for the following releases:
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows November 2025Patch 3
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows May 2025Patch 13
Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows November 2024Patch 25
Stay up to date with the most recent version by reviewing our Release Notes.
Workaround
If your connectors have been impacted by this upgrade, rollback your ODBC connector package to the previously working version based on a pre-update backup. SeeHow to manually upgrade or downgrade the Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows ODBC Connector Packagesfor details.
The workaround is intended to be temporary. Apply the fixed Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows patch for your respective version as soon as it becomes available.
If you are unable to perform a rollback, please contact Support.

Qlik's O365 Add-in offering for report developers has expanded with two new add-ins to enable Word document and PowerPoint presentation analytic reports.
Report developers can now:
Compose document or portrait style reports with data from a Qlik Sense app with an output format of .docx or .PDF(using thenew Microsoft O365 Add-in for Word).
Create PowerPoint presentation analytic reports from a Qlik Sense app with an output of .pptx or .PDF(using the new Microsoft O365 Add-in for PowerPoint).
How do I get started?
Qlik add-ins for Microsoft Office are installed using a manifest file. If you are using an existing manifest, you will need to download and deploy an updated file to access the new add-ins. See the deployment guide Deploying and installing Qlik add-ins for Microsoft Office.
The manifest covers all three productivity tool Add-ins. They cannot be deployed individually.
Notes on thePowerPoint add-in use
Qlik’s integration testing of Microsoft PowerPoint APIs shows that the O365 Add-in for PowerPoint can be unstable or slow at times. Our investigation with Microsoft reveals this to be a known challenge; some APIs on web vs desktop can result in different behaviors.
If your report developers have difficulty with the online PowerPoint Add-in, contact Qlik Support to open a case with us.
While we investigate the integration with Microsoft to determine if a solution is possible, consider developing your reports with the desktopversion of PowerPoint.
For Qlik NPrinting Customers
Watch for an upcoming Qlik NPrinting release in 2026 that will support Word and PowerPoint template export of compatible templates to Qlik Cloud Analytics.
Please note that due to Microsoft API limitations, it is not possible to embed data into an Excel table within the PowerPoint template to then produce native PowerPoint visualizations in the report. Refer to the help documentation for any other Word and PowerPoint report authoring limitations.See Qlik Reporting Service specifications and limitations for details.

Edited 9th of April, 2026: added clarity on when exactly intervals will be converted and to what value
Starting January 12, 2026, the 30-second interval option will no longer be available in the Qlik Automate scheduler.
This update prepares Qlik Automate for a future upgrade that will bring enhanced scheduling capabilities that are consistent with other Qlik products, including:
Support for specific days and dates
Configurable time windows
How will this affect me?
All automations using the 30-second interval will continue to work and run on the 30-second interval for now.
On or after April 20, 2026, automations that still use a 30-second interval will be migrated to a 1-minute interval. For example, 35 seconds will become 1 minute, 88 seconds will become 1 minute, and 90 seconds will become 2 minutes.
What actions do I need to take?
Please review your automations that use 30-second intervals to ensure they will function properly with a 1-minute interval.

Namespaces for REST and Events APIs are being introduced in Qlik Cloud to support the growing number of APIs and services in the platform, and to unlock versioning support in the future. This change makes it easier for you to find, understand, and use Qlik APIs by grouping related resources by context, as well as standardizing the interface for the APIs.
To learn more, see theAPI namespaces overview pageon qlik.dev.
What to expect
The new namespaced APIs will be introduced in parallel with the existing APIs.
The existing APIs will be deprecated and removed after aminimum12-month deprecation period from the notice of deprecation on thechangelog(qlik.dev).
No immediate action is needed. As each API is namespaced, a deprecation notice will be published with migration guides.
Key changes
REST
Removal ofv1from the path:v1will be removed from the path to prepare for versioning support in the future.
Grouping resources by context: Related APIs will be grouped together under a namespace which indicates in which context the resources are applicable. For example:
Theanalyticsnamespace for Analytics-specific resources such as apps, notes, and ODAGs apps.
Thecorenamespace for platform-wide resources such as users, groups, ip-policies, and roles.
Standardization of interfaces: The payloads for the new namespaced APIs will be standardized to be compliant with Qlik’s API design principles, meaning improved consistency of payloads, query parameters, and response formats between different APIs, irrespective of the context.
Events
Events will adhere to the same namespace rule to avoid conflict of resource names and to match the REST resources. This changes the pattern fromcom.qlik.v<version>.<eventContext>.<action>tocom.qlik.<namespace>.<eventContext>.<action>.

QlikData Gateway - Direct Accessversions 1.4 and 1.5 are reaching End of Life by January 31st, 2026*.
The original announcement can be read inDirect Access gateway versions 1.4 and 1.5 reaching End of Life by January 31st, 2026.
How will this affect me?
Both versions will stop working after reaching End of Life. We recommend you plan to upgrade to the latest available version of the currently supported 1.7.x as soon as possible.
How do I upgrade?
For the upgrade procedure, please refer toUpgrading Qlik Data Gateway - Direct Accesson Qlik's online help. This page also lists all the significant changes for each version.
The upgrade to 1.7.x from 1.4 or 1.5 has been thoroughly tested, and the process is expected to be smooth. However, please follow the steps carefully and always take a backup before upgrading. It is also worth noting that .NET 8.x is required (from v1.6.6) and will be automatically installed during the upgrade.
What else do I need to keep in mind?
Several configuration settings were added in later versions of the Direct Access gateway that may apply to your deployment. Therefore, please review all details in the online help onConfiguring and troubleshooting Qlik Data Gateway - Direct Access. Note that most Direct Access gateway settings can be configured in the Qlik Cloud Administration activity center (from v1.7.2).
Always upgrade to the latest version!
