V7.2.1. Adding a new column is fixed on first position. (imported V6.3.1 jobs)

Hi there,

I have migrated all my jobs from TOS-DI-6.3.1 to 7.2.1.

When I add a new row to an input or output file/mysql on a specific position, for example at the bottom and click ok, then click "Edit schema", its fixed on the top position. You can move it down by the arrows and save, but after reviewing it again, its on first position again.

This is working correctly when making a new V7.2.1 job. But not after importing the job from the older TOS version.

Can you replicate and fix the issue please.

Kind regards,

Xenoflex

Hi,

yes, I can confirm, but the same problem also and for new jobs

but it looks little different:

you create the schema:

col1
col2
col3

this 3 column - fixed forever, you can not change order of them

then you add:

col4
col5
col6

result looks like:

col4
col5
col6
col1
col2
col3

you can move any of these new columns inside this group (4-5-6), but first 3 forever at the bottom in the same order (1-2-3)

sad error - in fact prevent from migration 0683p000009MPcz.png

I have faced this issue from Talend 7.1.1 to 7.2.1.

When we are moving the mapping from Talend Old version to new version. And after that we are changing the output column order , then it will not work as expected.

Solution: Please re-create the mapping in new environment.

Thanks for the workaround. It's just a huge work to do it by hand, and a real source of bug so.
