Disable dropdown in a filter

I would like to have an input text box, that filters all my app.

I saw i can do that with a filter, but is it posible to disable the dropdown list? i would like to have only the text box in which the user specify a member of the dimension

Is it posible ?

As far as I know, this can't be done with the standard filter object. You could probably achieve something similar using an extension or using a variable input box coupled with a button action to select the corresponding value in the field.

Yes, i would like to disable this dropdown list:

I only want the gap of the filter to enter an option, but i dont want the user watch the different options of the dropdown list.

Yes, I agree that this is not possible at this time. I will open an idealation for this suggestion.

Thanks for the reply, do you know or have any screenshot/example showing how to do an input box with a button action?

Just use a standard Variable Input object and a standard button object. There's nothing special or unusual to it.
