I need some assistance with centralizing the dates in my data model that contains 2 fact tables and a single dimension. My model is as below. I am struggling to make the "Year" selection global, such so that I only have one year field in the front-end which will allow filtering on the entire app. I tried common dates an d the cononical dates but I cannot seem to get this to work. Kindly assist.

Dimension Table:

              Model_ID,

              Make_ID,

              PartNumber,

              MaterialNumber,

              MakeDesc.,

              ModelDesc

Fact 1 Table:

              Model_ID,

              ModelYear,

              PurchaseAmount

Fact 2 Table:

              Make_ID,

              MakeYear,

              PurchaseLocation,

              PurchaseAmount

Db (SQL Server) connectivity is failing using tdbinput component using JDK 17 and Talend 8.

I would like to export all applications of a certain stream and afterwards import them again on a new server with identical application ID's. Is this possible?

Thanks to some help from this forum I've almost cracked the bringing down fields through a hierarchy. However, the solution includes applymap(Hierarchybelongsto..... and I'm struggling to understand why it's returning an error after Hierarchybelongsto - it's expecting a bracket or other punctuation but there is already one there?

We use the Qlik API to retrieve data for display in an external web solution. We want to keep the Section Access in place. Our external web solution uses our active directory, the same as Qlik's. So if I make a call to the API, will the result keep the Section Access?

I want to remove leading zeroes from the values , like if I am having value 00760027220 from this value I want to remove zeroes coming in the starting '00'760027220 . How to remove it?

Hello all,

I'm creating a qlik app with a less-than-perfect dataset which comes from a .csv file. 

This file has a setup in which I'm forced to make constant left-joins to an id number. 

For example, column A is 'line_id', column B is 'file_id', column C is 'question' and column D is 'answer'.

I have about 20 of the below left joins now as almost every 'answer' in D is information that should be linked to 'file_id' in B. 

Left Join (file1)

Load
[file_id],
answer as Apple_answers

Resident file1

Where question = 'Are apples green?'
;

Now, after about 20 left joins, the Load script gets stuck and keeps loading lines even though only a handful of lines should be found. (in fact, there's only 3781 lines in the CSV file).

Am I simply using too many left joins and is there a way better way to do this or is this a Qlik limitation I've run into? Or both?

I want one solution for my scenario, I have 3 tables and my requirement is that , i will create one filter and in filter when i click on left join then only left join output will have to display , and same like when i click on right join then only the right join output has to display . How to achieve this , Hope i will get an answer here, Thanks .
