Hi everyone,
I have a QS 3.2.2 multinode installation with Shared Persistence.
Today I was looking at the Logs folder on the central node, and I found that there are still logs from over a month a go.
I thought that Logs were moved to Archived Logs every day/at every service restart (all nodes have been restarted recently).
So, my question is: when are Logs moved to Archived Logs?
Many thanks,
Riccardo

Hi Levi,
many thanks for your reply.
Another question: is there a reason why the logs are not moved to archived logs even if I'm definitely sure that two of these conditions have been met?
Many thanks,
Riccardo
What log in particular? e.g. C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\......txt?
Script logs, those found in the folder C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Script\*.txt
Ahh. So those logs are a bit special in some ways.
There are two ways to reload apps:
Script logs from (1) go to C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Script\ and do not get archived.
Script logs from (2) go to C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Script\ while the reload is occurring then get archived.
Ah, I see.
All clear, many thanks Levi!
Hi, which service is responsible for moving the logs to archived folder (Qlik share folder)? Is it a repository service of central and all rim nodes, which handle this operation? In case of higher amount of logging (debugging), can it be responsible for excessive amount of memory RAM taken by repository service together with higher network traffic (moving log files from rim nodes)?
